Position Summary 

We’re seeking a full-time Senior Designer I for our Los Angeles-based corporate office. The Senior Designer is responsible for supporting day-to-day design processes by creating top-selling items and merchandising their own designs from start to finish until the items launch on the website. This includes selecting their models, styling, and art direction during the photoshoot. This position is for SHEIN's sub brand, Haute. 

Job Responsibilities 

• Lead the research and development of seasonal trends
• Develop and execute new apparel designs
• Create cohesive concept boards and sketches, including the brand aesthetic and vision
• Create technical packages for each collection
• Manage fabric development, including sourcing textiles and trims
• Order fabrics and trims as needed
• Engage in all aspects of the design process from development through production, including approving samples and modifying sketches as needed
• Research current trends consistent with the existing aesthetic of multiple categories
• Own the creative process from the original inception to the initial sample
• Develop 100-150 new designs per month

 Job Requirements 

• 5-7+ years of design experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Fast fashion experience with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong garment construction skills, such as fabric construction, finishes, sewing techniques, graphics, and trims
• Strong flat sketching skills (CAD)
• Highly organizational with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail with a sense of urgency 

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design
• Bilingual in Mandarin or Korean
