About Slate
Slate is a new US Electric Vehicle company transforming the battery electric vehicle space.
What we are looking for:
A sparkplug to generate, shape, and execute innovative ideas across our brand, business, and marketing channels. The ideal candidate can work alone or in a team and come up with bracingly clever ideas that are creative and effective. You’ll have a voice in determining our voice and will work closely with our world-class brand marketing team to bring ideas to life. We’re a start-up, so you’ll need to be comfortable coming up with overarching concepts for campaigns, events, social and more, as well as rolling up your sleeves and hammering away to help build them. The deadlines are quick, the work is rewarding, and the people are awesome. We’re looking for someone who takes the work seriously but not themselves.
As our Senior Copywriter, you’ll report directly to the Head of Creative. This is a rare opportunity to be an integral part of a growing creative team that’s bringing a new brand to market.
What you get to do:
- Work directly with brand leadership to define, refine, and evolve our brand voice
- Translate strategic plans and insights into effective cross-channel campaigns
- Partner with designers and art directors to ensure copy and visuals work hand-in-hand and are on-brand
- Consistently brainstorm campaign concepts, stunts, and brand acts that extend to digital, print, and experiential channels
- Collaborate closely with the social and production teams to develop ideas and execute content
- Help mentor and manage fellow copywriters
- Clearly articulate and present concepts and ideas, in written and verbal form
- Ensure brand voice and tone is consistent internally and externally
- Partner with internal stakeholders to steward brand tone and voice throughout the organization
- Support marketing team with editing, revising, and proofreading as needed
- Stay on top of – and share – great work, inspiration, and industry trends
What you bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree or experience in marketing, advertising, or a related field
- 7+ years of proven copywriting experience in-house or at an agency
- Deep integrated marketing experience and demonstrated ability to concept and execute campaigns in all media
- Able to work both independently and within a highly collaborative environment
- Experience managing multiple projects from ideation to production, through post-production and delivery
- A knack for using feedback to make your work even better
- Superior written and oral communication skills as well as presentation skills
- Comfort working in Microsoft 365 including Power Point, Word, Excel
- A love of automotive is helpful but not necessary
Location:
Remote is acceptable, but we prefer NY Metro (able to commute to NYC if needed), Boston metro, or Troy, MI.
Base Salary: US wide $68,186.20 to $128,551.77.
