| WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Conveyance and Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the design of conveyance related projects. This position will require production of design calculations, technical reports, and preparation of construction documents. ** Must be willing to relocate to Warsaw, IN. Relocation assistance will be provided **
| WHAT YOU GET TO DO
- Put safety first to protect our team members, partners, and customers.
- Lead the design, development, simulation, installation, and validation of conveyance and automation systems.
- Program and troubleshoot PLC and control systems for conveyors and automated processes.
- Develop technical specifications for automotive assembly processes (trim, chassis, and final line).
- Prepare detailed reports, maps, and calculations to document designs and obtain agency approvals.
- Oversee construction-phase activities, including administration, field observation, and engineering support.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, ANSI, and OSHA standards.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers, maintenance, and manufacturing teams.
- Drive problem-solving, continuous improvement, and efficient project completion
| WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field); advanced degree a plus.
- 5 – 8 years of hands-on experience designing automation and conveyance systems in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
- Proficiency in PLC programming and controls (required).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including feasibility and risk assessments.
- Experience with CAD software.
- Excellent communication skills — able to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for precision, quality, and safety.
- Familiarity with NEC, ANSI, and OSHA standards (training or certifications a plus).
