PlayStation is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to expand our team and help improve our next generation Subscriptions Services platform. We build the foundation behind PlayStation Plus and other subscriptions, used by millions of PlayStation players! Subscriptions and Subscriptions Services is an area with lots of interest, potential, and possibilities. The team recently played a meaningful role in growing PlayStation Plus into a three tiered offering.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop, maintain, and iterate on real-time, efficient, and highly scalable customer facing features.
  • Understand the problems, objectives, and goals of business and development teams. Build scalable solutions in iterative improvements to meet those needs.
  • Maintain stability, performance, and quality of the codebase by applying development standards while using automation to support CI/CD workflows.
  • Be a technical leader, by mentoring or providing feedback to members, leading the architecture and design of projects.
  • Work closely with multi-functional team to ensure plans, progress, and risks are clearly communicated.

What we are looking for:

  • Computer Science or related fields degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Experience writing high-performance code in Java.
  • Experience working with, building, and extending large systems and platforms.
  • Experience mentoring and growing team members.
  • Experience as a technical lead on significant features.
  • Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, SQL, NoSQL, and ReactorJava.
  • Experience with Splunk and/or Datadog
  • Front-end development experience (React/React Native) a bonus

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$172,100 - $258,100 USD
