Role Overview:

As the Regional Logistics Operations Support Specialist (6 Month Contract), you will be joining PlayStations Supply Chain Organisation within the Global Logistics Operations group in Europe. 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to build a comprehensive understanding of PlayStation’s Logistics & Supply Chain operations in the EMEA. This highly operational role requires the ability to interact with key Logistics Partners and services to deliver support that improves the fulfillment capabilities of the supply chain in alignment with the production & sales plans.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting regional Logistics operational activities within the EMEA, assisting on both inbound delivery of goods to production assembly and distribution facilities, and outbound to B2B and B2C customers
  • Be a point of contact for regional Logistics Operations activities for both B2C and B2B with internal teams and external service providers
  • Engage with Sales Operations, Warehousing, Planning, and Security to participate in the development, optimization and delivering of transportation plans
  • Support the operational owners of the regional Logistics Service Provider network, managing an array of road, sea, air, and multi-modal transport operational activities to and from global locations
  • Exception Management - Interaction with Logistics Service Providers (LSP’s) to identify Exceptions and provide rapid communication to key stakeholders.
  • Working with Managed Service Providers to support transportation bookings and plans, with extra attention to NPI and high-risk activities
  • Build paths of communication with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the plan is holding day by day, week by week, and month by month
  • Run regular reports on inbound and outbound activities as well as support colleagues in providing feedback on urgent queries
  • Proactive carrier planning, engage on capacity and volume needs – then provide rapid response to pivot in reaction to any new developments or deviations from plan
  • Inbound tracking, carrier management, and capacity planning – managing from Port-to-Port in alignment with global Seihan planning and S&OP
  • Utilisation of Logistics Systems to ensure carrier SLA achievement, process compliance, and exception tracking
  • Track & Trace exception tracking and management, and POC for Track & Trace requests

What we're looking for: 

  • Proven experience in Logistics, Transportation, 3PL management, or Fulfilment Operations
  • General knowledge of all forms of transportation, with a main focus on Sea, Road, and Air both inbound and outbound from EMEA, APAC, and the Americas
  • Experience working with transportation providers and 3PL/4PL logistics models on behalf of an EMEA-wide business
  • General knowledge of Logistics Operations best-practices within consumer-packaged good industry or video game industry is a plus
  • Working experience utilizing ERP system (SAP GUI, SAP Fiori, SAP Business Objects, SAP IBP)
  • Working experience utilizing and interacting with a TMS
  • BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience of Lean a plus.
