Payroll Analyst

PlayStation offers a global hybrid office/remote working model — Flex Modes — which aims to combine the flexibility of remote working with the magic of in-person collaboration. We will consider fully remote candidates who are willing to accommodate multiple time zones and to travel in for 'Moments that Matter'.

Sony Interactive Entertainment is looking for a Payroll Analyst to support the payroll audit process, custom reporting functions, and system enhancement testing and assurance.  You will join a team of professionals and contribute to making our payroll function efficient, accurate, and dedicated to employee experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop automated audits across multiple systems and processes to ensure data integrity in support of an accurate payroll process.
  • Test and validate payroll system updates for accuracy and compliance. Identify features that would enhance or automate the existing process. 
  • Support the payroll process by developing data templates for import processing and reviewing data audits.
  • Monitor all incoming integrations for integrity, identify and resolve integrations errors. 
  • Liaison with People Technology to resolve integration issues.
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries from Nexus case management system.
  • Support financial and SOX audit requests.
  • Provide reporting for corporate tax and accounting filing requirements.

 

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of payroll concepts with an understanding of payroll regulations and government reporting requirements in the US and Canada.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguous and complex work situations.
  • Ability to work in an organized manner with the ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines handling multiple tasks while maintaining proper prioritization.
  • Knowledge of payroll tax implications of Section 125, 401k, RRSP, and other tax impacting benefit plans.
  • Ability to proactively work with clients in the business to diagnose, understand and propose solutions for complex issues.
  • Capability to work independently and manage workload with autonomy.
  • Knowledge of Workday, SAP, ADP and Dayforce is advantageous.
  • Ability to work as part of a hybrid working team in multiple work locations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge of Excel and MS Office products.
  • 3+ years combined payroll processing and reporting experience.
  • Expert knowledge of reconciliation preparation.
  • Extensive knowledge of large HCM/Payroll SaaS systems.
  • Prior experience with multi-country payroll processes.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. 

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

This is a flexible role that can be remote, with varying pay ranges based on geographic location. For example, if you are based out of Seattle, the estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$101,000 - $151,600 USD
