Licensed Merchandise Retail Marketing Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated, organized and detail-oriented manager to join our Global Licensed Merchandise Retail Marketing team. In this role, you will collaborate with both internal cross-functional teams and external partners to drive the marketing of PlayStation branded licensed merchandise, internationally. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing with a focus in the retail category both online and physical, robust project management skills, and a passion for delivering measurable results for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Director, Integrated Marketing, Special Projects & the Licensed Merchandise team to develop and execute PlayStation’s licensed merchandise retail marketing program
  • Partner with large number of internal functions to develop processes and channel strategies from development to execution -
  • Be part of a team building the product franchise story - the aspects of which are all part of the narrative we must communicate to our fanbases.
  • Manage partners and their scope of work to ensure successful execution of retail marketing programs achieving forecasted objectives in alignment with the budget.
  • Coordinate with the team’s data and analytics function, supporting development of processes to synthesize Brick-and-Mortar Retail and eCommerce business performance data to help shape go-to-market strategies and in-market performance
  • Support development of meeting presentations through the creation of powerful selling stories, rooted in insights on brand equity, innovation, and category management syndicate data
  • Manage campaigns from end to end, working with multiple internal and external parties:
    • Creative ideation
    • Creative briefing
    • Managing asset reviews and approvals
    • Campaign planning with relevant teams and stakeholders
    • Execution and roll out of campaigns across all marketing channels
    • Gathering analytical and qualitative evaluation
    • Creating summaries of campaigns and projects for internal and external distribution

What we're looking for:

  • This candidate will have solid experience working in an omni-channel environment - not just in-store marketing, but digital and social, with a specific tie to product.
  • Very strong verbal, written, and visual presentation communication skills
  • The candidate will be comfortable preparing presentations and presenting to Field Sales and our Retail Partners
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Strong collaborative skillset with cross-functional teams is critical for alignment to strategies and executions
  • Experience of translating data into actionable insights and selling stories
  • Proven experience in taking overarching communications strategy into tactical execution
  • Ability to stay focused on key priorities and bring solutions; to drive distribution and grow consumption
  • Commitment to results; ability to incorporate new learning into existing plans and act decisively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all personality types and behaviours
  • Ability to work effectively in and adapt to a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Must be interested in learning and adapting to a rapidly shifting landscape
  • Passion for entertainment and culture is a must for this team
  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master’s Degree a plus
