What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Integrations & Connect engineering team in India. As the leader of this team, you’ll work closely with various stakeholders both within India and overseas across platform and core survey teams within SurveyMonkey. We welcome new ideas and fresh perspectives which can help grow our team and our product. We are looking for someone who has a passion for solving complex and interesting problems, and delivering versatile full-stack functionality to support our next set of integrations to drive customer adoption and make the experience more meaningful for our customers.
What you’ll be working on
- Lead a team of experienced developers and QA engineers to design, build, and scale the Connect & Integrations stream
- Hire and retain world-class talent, by building strong engineering teams
- Facilitate career growth for your team members through coaching, frequent feedback and providing opportunities to develop their strengths and acquire new skills
- Work closely with UX designers, product managers and development team to build new integrations and key functionality
- Be a key player in cross-team technical initiatives and own the technical aspects of software architecture and development
- Continuously build and expand your own technical expertise as well as drive excellence in engineering within the team
- Responsible for delivering crucial and time sensitive commitments, as well as, service and uptime SLA’s
- Act as a subject matter expert to guide other stakeholders and engineers
We’d love to hear from people with
- 5+ years of experience managing successful and high performing teams
- 14+ years of professional software development experience, using web technologies such as Python, React, JavaScript, Node.js, and GraphQL, Salesforce Cloud at scale.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and inspire engineering teams. This includes experience in managing and mentoring engineers, providing technical guidance, and fostering a positive team culture
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to make sound judgments in complex and dynamic situations. This includes prioritizing tasks, resolving conflicts, and mitigating risks
- Experience leading and shipping large-scale cross functional projects
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders, and facilitating effective communication within the engineering team.
- Ability to work with both co-located and remote engineers and cross-functional partners
- Experience building consumer-facing high-scale web applications using modern technologies
- Experience of working in an Agile environment and have lead ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint review, sprint retrospective, sprint demos, and backlog refinement.
- Experience building integrations with various third parties and applications while evolving towards a platform centric approach

As such, this opportunity is hybrid and requires you to work from the SurveyMonkey office in Bengaluru 3 days per week.
