What is this role like?

We’re looking for a motivated, experienced and smart sales rep to join the dynamic and growing sales team in the US! You will be a spokesperson for Topsort’s innovative retail media APIs and products, working with the best retailers, marketplaces, and delivery apps across US and Canada to drive sales and growth in the North American market.  

You will:

  • Generate pipeline, own enterprise and mid-market sales process end to end: you must be motivated and eager to win deals and crush competition. 
  • Embrace the “sports team” mentality of Topsort - work with product, engineering, other sales members across geography to deepen knowledge of sales, exchange learnings, and earn deals.  
  • Hunger for winning: relentless focus and “hunter energy” to win RFPs and deals in a competitive market, demonstrable track record for selling a “not yet IBM” product and exceeding quotas 
  • Ability to generate pipeline from industry connections, outbound activities, Linkedin outreach, ability to travel to industry events, client meetings, onsite sessions and workshops. 
  • Take prospects through the buyer journey from discovery to contract negotiation, from demo to product Q&As. Bonus point if you’re experienced in selling technical products or have retail media knowledge as Topsort is a product-led company with a very technical product. Act as the voice of the customer, provide feedback to the product team and work closely with the founders to perfect and improve the product
  • Be a subject matter expert: know everything about the ad industry, Topsort’s products, retail media market landscape, and stay on top of the industry trends as you will be speaking with very knowledgeable customers

What (we think) you need to be successful - we’re open to not checking all the boxes and be proven wrong by outlier candidates as well! 

  • B.A., B.S., or MBAs with a concentration in Finance, Data, Computer Science or other STEM fields, must have excellent grades or demonstrable entrepreneurial spirits and drive for excellence
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise software sales or roles that have such exposure, such as tech consulting, investment banking and media sales. You have experience with client facing roles and exceeding commercial targets. 
  • Startup hustle and speed: You’re able to work hard, move fast, can adjust to a dynamic environment and sell to complex organizations and technical customers
  • Ability to learn on the job, learn fast, and have strong curiosity for the industry and a desire to self-educate to become the expert on auctions, retail media, and marketplace monetization.
  • Team Player: Lone wolf style sales are from the past, at Topsort, it’s about being a sports team that achieve goals together.
  • Work onsite (office in Boston) 4 days a week, ability to travel domestically and internationally for industry events and client visits
