Garden State Veterinary Services moved to a new, 30,000 sq ft building in Woodbridge, NJ November 2023!
We currently offer Emergency, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Oncology, Ophthalmology and Cardiology. GSVS provides progressive veterinary care in a state-of-the-art new facility! GSVS is a network of three, 24-hour emergency referral hospitals including locations in Eatontown, Staten Island and 3 urgent care locations in East Brunswick, Morristown and Toms River, NJ.
GSVS Woodbridge is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Hospital Manager who is fully committed to the success and smooth operation of our facility. The Assistant Hospital Manager, under the direction of the Hospital Director will:
- Play a key role in managing and developing the hospital team within a busy emergency and specialty hospital setting, supporting the objectives of the Medical Director and Hospital Director.
- Be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks that support the efficient operation of the practice.
- Work closely with the Hospital Director, Medical Director and leadership team on the day-to-day operational needs of the hospital to optimize efficiency, support high-quality patient care and a cohesive client experience.
- Be responsible for facilities management and equipment maintenance to maintain an efficient, clean, and well-functioning hospital and ensure a high standard of care.
- Oversee hospital purchasing, inventory and supplies, working together with the Purchasing Coordinator who does most of the ordering.
- Responsible to optimize the costs of inventory to support the overall success and enhance the overall financial performance of the hospital.
- Ensure that the hospital environment is safe, organized, and well-stocked.
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols. Regularly assessing compliance measures to maintain a safe and adherent workplace that prioritizes the well-being of both staff and patients.
Salary: Exempt, based on experience

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary or clinical operations, proven leadership abilities, a commitment to fostering a collaborative and proactive workplace culture and excellent interpersonal skills.
