Product Manager, Payments
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a hands-on and results-driven Product Manager for the VTEX Payments team. The role focuses on evolving the VTEX payment ecosystem, including integrating new payment providers, enhancing payment methods, and ensuring the platform's efficiency and security. This involves collaborating closely with engineering and design teams, making sure solutions are both functional and user-friendly, and facilitating communication with growth and partnerships teams to align on strategy.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Payments team is responsible for optimizing and managing the VTEX payment gateway, a core component of the VTEX commerce platform used by all VTEX clients. The team ensures it meets the requirements of strategic customers and enables new use cases to support the company's global expansion.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead the management of integrations between the VTEX platform and external payment providers, ensuring seamless functionality and maintaining ongoing relationships.
- Drive the implementation of new strategic projects, such as credit card tokenization, reducing operational complexity and enhancing payment security and user experience.
- Organize and prioritize the roadmap for the squad, making sure the engineering team executes activities according to the planned roadmap.
- Conduct product discovery for strategic projects, such as tokenization, including scope definition and technical understanding alongside the engineering team.
- Collaborate with the Growth and Partnerships teams to identify new integration opportunities and optimize the payments ecosystem.
- Define and prioritize product functionalities in alignment with customer demands and strategic business goals.
- Develop and present detailed Product Requirements to the engineering team to ensure alignment with product priorities and effective delivery.
WHO YOU ARE
- Strong technical background with the ability to manage complex system integrations.
- Proven experience managing large-scale projects with attention to detail, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.
- Analytical mindset focused on business impact and financial outcomes, capable of evaluating and prioritizing initiatives based on ROI.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Motivated by results, agile, and able to thrive in fast-paced environments with constant change.
- Fluent in English.
- Experience with Payments is a plus.
