Location

Our Solutions Architect is an integral part of our Marketing Services team at WillowTree. This role will maintain in-office presence in a hybrid capacity (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) in one of our offices: Charlottesville, VA (HQ), Durham, NC, Columbus, OH, or Boston, MA.

The Opportunity

A Solutions Architect is responsible for providing hands-on work that directly contributes to the growth and maturity of the agency. They will provide thought leadership to client and internal teams regarding WillowTree engagements. They will be responsible for aligning client strategies to the appropriate technology and service components both within WillowTree and within our partner network. Working with commercial and delivery groups from across WillowTree to determine the best solutions for our clients and to present our capabilities as part of proposals.

The Solution Architect must have a proven track record in architecting, designing, and participating in the delivery of complex digital transformation projects involving both enterprise cloud solutions and front-end technologies. Individuals should have a strong grasp of marketing technology architectures, and system integration, as well as a solid grasp of Adobe Experience Cloud architectures, particularly experience with large-scale AEM deployments. Individuals should have strong communication (written and oral) skills, be able to confidently present solutions to both internal and client stakeholders and be able to collaborate effectively with these teams.

Responsibilities

  • Act as client-facing technical voice accountable for providing invaluable insight and architectural guidance to our customers and delivery teams as they plan and build out new digital products and services.
  • Define target state and transition architectures and roadmaps.
  • Work directly with clients and collaborate with internal teams to serve as the technical architect on digital transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with others to define end-to-end systems architecture and design in accordance with business and operational requirements.
  • Develop component, service and interface definitions, define system implementation approaches and operational aspects.
  • Develops technical deliverables in support of client solutions:
        1) Data models
        2) Context/Data flow diagrams
        3) Infrastructure diagrams
        4) Architectural and/or Interface diagrams

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in conceptualizing, architecting, designing and communicating enterprise class solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, Information Management or other relevant discipline.
  • Proven track record of advancing the ranks of a programmer who had built applications leveraging Java/J2EE or JavaScript and ability to consult with clients at any level: from the C-Suite to the developer.
  • Experience with digital transformation in various industries and experience designing and implementing enterprise class scalable web and mobile applications leveraging modern loosely-coupled architecture patterns.
  • Hands-on working knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture and APIs (REST, SOAP, etc.) and other modern integration patterns.
  • Strong understanding of architectural patterns, guard rails and design best practices
  • Proven ability to mentor team members
  • Professional certifications (eg, AWS Solution Architect, GCP Cloud Architect, Adobe Solutions Architect, etc.)
  • Experience with various Martech stacks including CDP, Marketing Automation, CMS, Analytics, Personalization, etc.
