Senior International Tax Accountant
Position Overview:
Do you have a knack for taxes and numbers? 💸 As a Senior International Tax Accountant, you will be supporting the many different needs of the Tax team, as well as providing support to our Revenue team. We seek a motivated, self-starter and hands on individual who prioritizes attention to detail and accuracy. The Senior Tax Accountant must be able to work with sensitive and confidential information, so trustworthiness is important, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills. Being a team player is paramount as we work in a team-oriented environment across different functions.

Location: United Kingdom; then, you choose what works for you! This role can be performed 100% remotely anywhere in the UK, at one of our office locations in the UK, or a hybrid version of in-office and remote.
Reports to: Director, Tax
Travel Requirement: up to 5%
What you’ll be working on:
- Preparation of information packages used for the preparation of Federal, State/Provinces, local government, direct or indirect taxes calculations for any jurisdiction where the company operates, such as USA, UK, Canada, Italy, among others.
- Preparation of information packages used for the preparation of tax benefit programs (R&D, Apprenticeship, E-Commerce, Patent Box, etc.), in any of the locations where the company operates.
- Maintain and/or implement different control systems, processes, procedures, for all tax transactions
- Provision of Information/Management, for company secretariat filings/processes for USA and Canada, among others.
- Management of multi-company, multi state, USA sales tax return processes, calculations, and reconciliations (filings made by external service provider).
- Ensure multiple balance sheet reconciliations are completed within deadlines
- Management/Advise, as needed, in respect of VAT/GST/HST or any other sales-based tax, worldwide.
- Management and/or action on all worldwide notices received by the company
- Manage bi-annual worldwide calculation of income tax provision
- Manage monthly/quarterly/etc. income tax installment payments worldwide.
- Manage budget and forecast initiatives
- Support the Revenue Team with client invoicing, A/R, cash posting, month end reporting.
- Ad hoc reporting as required including special projects as necessary.
What you must bring to the role:
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, commerce, or business administration if North America based.
- An accounting designation or studying towards one.
- USA Sales Tax Experience
- High level of proficiency with Excel
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Demonstrate applicable experience as follows:
- 5+ years if experience is only within a CPA firm, or; 8+ years in any other case
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Critical thinking and problem solving
⭐ Bonus points if you have:
- Experience in multi tax/currency/location environment (i.e. direct and indirect taxes in more than one location around the world).
- Experience with Transfer Pricing, as well as inbound/outbound multi location international taxes.
- Experience with tax provision, IFRS tax accounting, reporting and disclosure.
- Bi-Lingual English Spanish or English Italian
- Familiar with SAGE Intacct accounting software and/or OneSource Tax Provision
- International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
