Principal Software Engineer – Cloud ERP & AI Automation

Summary

We’re hiring a Principal Software Engineer to help build a cloud-native, multi-tenant AI-powered ERP platform with AI embedded directly into workflows and decision-making—not just as a chatbot.
You’ll own core platform architecture and execution: data models, APIs, permissions, eventing, and AI-aware workflows. You’ll work closely with AI automation specialists to turn workflow strategy into reliable, secure, scalable, and auditable systems.
This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for engineers who think in systems, data, and invariants, not just frameworks.

Responsibilities

Platform Architecture & Data Modeling

• Design and implement multi-tenant ERP data models, migrations, and schema evolution.

• Ensure performance, audit trails, and reporting capabilities are built into the platform.

• Define service boundaries, workflow state machines, and integration patterns.

Cloud Platform & Infrastructure

• Build reliable, scalable cloud-native solutions on AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Configure IAM, VPC/VNet, managed compute/storage, KMS, logging, and security primitives.

• Use Terraform for repeatable, secure infrastructure provisioning with auditability.

Containers & Orchestration

• Deploy and manage services using Docker and Kubernetes for multi-tenant operations.

• Ensure service reliability, scaling, isolation, and efficient deployments.

Backend Runtime & Integrations

• Implement API gateways, connectors, and event/webhook handlers using TypeScript/Node.js.

• Integrate workflow automation platforms (n8n, Make, Zapier) with backend systems.

• Build event-driven systems (queues, retries, idempotency, DLQs) for operational workflows.

Workflow Automation & Data-Driven Insights

• Operationalize workflow automations across Sales, Marketing, HR/Recruiting, and Operations.

• Enable data-driven reporting and dashboards to track performance, KPIs, and continuous improvement.

• Build production-ready integrations that are secure, observable, and maintainable.

Qualifications

Required

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience (3–5 years in cloud-native platforms or ERP systems preferred).

• Expert-level SQL/PostgreSQL skills with experience in multi-tenant ERP data modeling, reporting, and migrations.

• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and associated security/compliance patterns.

• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and deploying scalable services.

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) experience for repeatable and secure deployments.

• Proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js for building APIs, connectors, webhooks, and backend integrations.

• Experience with event-driven architecture (queues, pub/sub, retries, idempotency, DLQs).

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills; able to translate operational requirements into scalable solutions.

Preferred / Bonus Points

• Experience with ERP, BPO, or multi-tenant SaaS platforms.

• Familiarity with workflow automation platforms like n8n, Make, or Zapier.

• Exposure to data analytics, reporting layers, or BI pipelines.

• Knowledge of SOC 2 / ISO 27001 readiness and audit/compliance practices.
