Why Box needs you:

The CaaS team is a core infrastructure team that builds all the container and VM images in accordance with our compliance requirements and runs software and services that are used to automate all aspects of Box's Infrastructure and can be leveraged by the entire Engineering org. 
Keeping up with rapid customer growth is an ongoing challenge. Therefore, our main job is to build intelligent and sustainable software to do just that. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to conceive, define, develop, deploy and operate solutions which help Box manage its infrastructure.

What you'll do:

• Develop in-house services and API's
• Programmatically automate infrastructure with orchestration tooling
• Write services that interact with other API’s
• Operate and maintain services that support our internal platforms
• Work with the team in developing frameworks and API's that enable functionality for the entire Engineering organization
• Identify problems, develop, deploy and maintain solutions which automate all aspects of Box’s Infrastructure
• Evangelize good code and solid engineering practices

Who you are: 

• 2+ years of experience working with Ruby or Python
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines
• Strong troubleshooting skills to keep our services highly available
• Strong coding skills with a passion for writing clean, well tested and maintainable code
• Passion for learning and adopting new technologies
• Proficient in English

Additional points for: 

• F/OSS contributor
• Exposure running applications on Kubernetes
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins in Groovy
• Experience writing web applications in Go
• Experience with configuration management tools (such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef)
• Strong Linux admin skills

Box lives its values, with community and in-person collaboration being a core part of our culture.
