WHY BOX NEEDS YOU

Box is looking for an experienced technologist to lead a team of quality assurance engineers, ensuring the highest standards for product quality throughout the delivery of our Enterprise Systems roadmap. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and maturing our testing strategy, provide guidance and subject matter expertise on best practices in quality assurance and testing, and collaborate with Enterprise Systems leaders and business partners to drive continuous improvement and deliver exceptional business value. Ideal candidates will possess strong management, technical, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills and be comfortable engaging with all organizational levels.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures

  • Establish and publish key KPI’s for monitoring and reporting the quality of changes and solutions delivered by Enterprise systems

  • Ensure QA policies, procedures and processes are followed as part of application support and solution delivery across Enterprise systems

  • Lead team of QA engineers in championing and exhibiting a quality-first approach to iterative software delivery

  • Partner with service owners and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency

  • Create and maintain training materials and operating manuals in support of QA standards

  • Estimate level of effort to thoroughly test enhancements and projects

  • Manage budgets and cost for the testing scope of projects/programs

  • Overseeing review and execution of test cases; ensuring defects are accurately documented using approved standards, processes and tools for projects with all levels of complexity

  • Report results and recommended product quality software development lifecycle processes, and risk mitigation for projects of varying levels of complexity.

  • Develop strategies for automated testing and test data maintenance, as well as performance testing frameworks

  • Provide information and periodic updates to support overall IT performance metrics, monthly project status reporting, and quarterly resource planning

 

WHO YOU ARE

  • Bachelor Computer science degree or related field

  • 5-7 years’ experience working in quality assurance or a similar field with a minimum of 2-3 years in quality assurance management

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects and work as both as a lead and as a manager

  • Experience in quality defect tracking, auditing and testing

  • Experience in one of the automation tools, preferably AccelQ, would be an asset

  • Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of quality assurance

  • Experience delivering quality assurance in SaaS architecture using systems such as Salesforce, Workday, SnapLogic, Netsuite and other finance / marketing systems

  • Experience working in an Agile construct (Scrum, Kanban)

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Excellent data gathering and analytical skills

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to present to and engage with senior/executive management 

  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and ability to learn multiple functional areas of a business is required
