Why Box needs you:
The Content Creation engineering team builds Box's core end-user products that enable seamless content creation within Box—including Box Notes, Box Canvas, and other key experiences. As Manager of the Content Creation team, you'll own a large full-stack surface area and lead the team responsible for delivering essential user-facing features. Your work will directly shape how millions of users create and collaborate on content. The team recently shipped AI-powered features that transform our Notes Editor into an AI-first content creation experience—allowing users to leverage existing content in Box and integrate AI directly into their workflows.
What you'll do:
- Lead a team of experienced engineers in Poland.
 - Define the team's roadmap, execution plans, and take ownership of project delivery.
 - Develop team members through 1:1s, career planning, coaching discussions, and hiring.
 - Uphold values by building a collaborative, inclusive team focused on customer impact.
 - Cultivate a culture of excellence through emphasis on execution, quality, and scale.
 - Organize stand-ups, sprint planning, technical discussions, and manage sprint task statuses.
 - Collaborate with product teams to scope new features, provide project estimates, and inform quarterly commitments.
 - Work with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to ensure the team delivers significant business impact.
 - Represent Box internally and externally.
 - Manage and coordinate the team’s on-call rotation to ensure timely and effective incident response, actively participate in escalated on-call incidents to provide leadership and support, and drive improvements by addressing recurring issues to minimize disruptions.
 
Who you are:
- Ideally, you have over 2 years of experience as a software engineering manager, leading teams responsible for high-scale production services.
 - You possess at least 5 years of professional software development experience, contributing to the development of full-stack web applications and/or distributed systems.
 - You excel at aligning and executing new technical ideas, demonstrating an understanding of best practices.
 - Proven experience in driving effective execution with agile processes in a dynamic environment.
 - A people-oriented leader, capable of modelling and fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
 - Exceptional at communicating, passionate about technology and committed to raising the bar.
 - Experience working with distributed teams across different time zones is advantageous.
 - Proficient in English.
 
Bonus Points:
- Hands-on experience designing and building cloud-native architecture for AWS, GCP, or similar.
 - Passion for open source and staying abreast of community developments.
