We are seeking a Security & Compliance Engineer to enhance the security posture and compliance readiness of enterprise-grade cloud services deployed on Azure and Power Platform. This individual will play a critical role in conducting detailed risk assessments, driving remediation efforts, analyzing compliance telemetry, and leveraging automation to ensure robust, scalable security engineering practices.
This role requires a strong understanding of cloud-native security, risk frameworks, and experience working across technical and business teams to deliver consistent, compliant, and resilient solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Perform in-depth security and risk assessments on Azure and Power Platform environments

Document identified risks in a Risk Register, aligned with remediation strategies

Partner with engineering teams to track and support risk remediation activities

Host technical office hours to assist teams with remediation guidance and security planning

Analyze security and compliance telemetry using Azure Data Explorer (Kusto)

Create reusable remediation documentation and guidance materials

Build automated workflows using PowerShell, Azure Logic Apps, CI/CD pipelines, etc.

Leverage Microsoft Purview, Azure Policy, and similar tools for compliance and governance

Support security and compliance campaigns in alignment with enterprise goals

Track progress and deliverables via Azure DevOps, ensuring timely updates and clear documentation
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
-
5–7 years of experience in cloud security, risk management, or compliance engineering

5+ years hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including native security services
-
3+ years conducting security assessments, threat modeling, and risk analysis
-
1+ year focused on risk management frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF v2)

Deep understanding of web application security and related mitigation strategies

Demonstrated ability to partner with technical teams across the organization

Strong analytical and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
-
CISSP, GIAC, or equivalent certifications

Experience with Microsoft Purview, Canvas Apps, and Dataverse security

Familiarity with static/dynamic code analysis tools and secure development practices

Experience automating compliance and risk processes using scripting and low-code platforms

Working knowledge of Microsoft compliance frameworks and governance tools

Salary Range
Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $110,000 - $115,000 USD/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
