Tier 2 Technical Specialist

The Opportunity:

As a Tier 2 Technical Specialist, you’ll provide deep technical support for our enterprise customers across cloud, virtualization, and data protection technologies. You’ll own complex, high-impact cases across various channels — phone, email, and remote, and collaborate with engineering and product teams to drive resolution and improvement.

What you’ll do…

  • Provide deep technical support for Commvault's platform with a focus on:
    • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
    • Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive)
    • Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
    • Containers (Kubernetes)
  • Lead technical investigations, reproduce customer issues in lab environments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Maintain high-quality case documentation and timely updates
  • Mentor Tier 1/junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge bases
  • Participate in weekend shift rotation for global support coverage
  • Drive customer satisfaction with clear communication and ownership

Who you are?

  • 8+ years in technical support, system engineering, enterprise IT or similar
  • Strong hands-on experience in Azure or AWS cloud environments
  • Working knowledge in at least one of the following domains:
    • Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive)
    • Virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V)
    • Containers and orchestration (e.g., K8s)
  • Proficient in Linux/Unix and/or Windows Server environments with a solid understanding of networking, storage (SAN/NAS), and file systems.
  • Strong customer communication, problem-solving, and RCA skills
  • Bonus: Experience with Commvault or other backup platforms, cloud/Kubernetes certifications, diagnostic tools (e.g., WinDBG, Wireshark, Process Monitor), and enterprise/SaaS environment support.
