About the Role & Team
The Platform Core team builds internal software libraries and tools to empower other backend teams. We focus on both improving the scalability and reliability of our systems and enhancing the developer experience.As part of the Platform Core team at theScore, you will be working with a team of smart, friendly, and dedicated Engineers and Technical Product Managers. Additionally, you’ll help shape the future of theScore’s backend architecture.
About the Work
As a key member of our Platform team you will:
- Design and build foundational components that improve the reliability and scalability of our backend services.
- Build internal tools and libraries to help accelerate other backend teams.
- Collaborate regularly with other teams to ensure what we’re building serves their needs.
- Contribute to improving and evolving software development across the organization.
- Other duties as required.
About You:
- A solid foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design.
- Passionate about clean code architecture and software craftsmanship.
- Experience with a modern web framework and consuming APIs.
- Experience with Git and GitHub or similar.
- An interest in designing, building, and optimizing distributed systems.
- Excellent communication skills, including solid technical writing abilities.
- Interest in building services and tools for other developers.
