About the Role & Team
The Web Internal Enablement team’s mission is to provide our users with the best possible experience when it comes to browsing our media sites. You’ll be working with a group of talented and friendly individuals. We’re also a team that enjoys learning and sharing knowledge. We like to keep our documentation up to date and take time out of our day to learn new technologies.
About the Work
As a key member of our Web Internal Enablement team, you will:
- Work on multiple projects to strengthen the ecosystem of products under the PENN brand.
- Help drive user acquisition through SEO.
- Support the development and maintenance of features for theScore’s media sites.
- Experiment with new technologies that will decrease our build or CI times.
- Participate in the design, architecture, and delivery of new features in a collaborative agile/scrum environment.
- Improve feedback loops around accessibility, performance, visual regression and error monitoring.
- Collaborate with the team to define and improve our internal style guide, maintainability and best practices for web applications.
About You
- A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, distributed systems, algorithms and software design.
- Experience with frontend technologies (TypeScript, React, NextJS, GraphQL, Jest, e2e testing, build tools).
- You pay attention to the details.
- You think deeply about systems and can debug problems that span systems.
- You’re a curious person who loves to dive deep into the internals of different libraries.
- You love to keep updated with web technologies and share what you learn with teammates.
- You’re a great communicator, both verbal and written.
