Geotab is seeking a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for the growth and development of OEM relationships, and propose new ideas on how Geotab and OEM can work together. What you'll do:

As a Business Development Manager OEM, you will be the driving force behind Geotab's OEM partnerships in the Nordic, Central, and Eastern European region. You will be responsible for both cultivating existing relationships and aggressively pursuing new business opportunities with OEMs (Cars, Vans, Trucks, and emerging EV-OEMs). This is a hybrid role, demanding a strategic approach to account management combined with a hunter mentality for new business acquisition, supporting the Channel and Segment Sales teams as a SME. You will develop and execute sales strategies, create sales opportunities with prospects, leads, and existing customers, and ultimately drive revenue growth and market share expansion. This role requires an entrepreneurial spirit, strong self-initiative, and a proven sales track record.

How you'll make an impact

  • Lead all OEM-related activities in the region, fostering and managing relationships from initial contact to long-term strategic partnerships. This includes exploring innovative business models to support OEM business models, and optimizing existing partnerships for mutual benefit and increased revenue.
  • Proactively identify, research, and pursue new OEM partnerships, building and nurturing strong relationships with key decision-makers. Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to acquire new OEM accounts and expand Geotab's market presence.
  • Develop and create a robust pipeline of sales opportunities with prospects, leads, and existing OEM customers, consistently driving revenue growth and expanding market share.
  • Facilitate OEMs becoming resellers of Geotab products, guiding them through the entire process and ensuring their success. This includes supporting existing OEM resellers, identifying opportunities for growth within their programs, and optimizing program performance.
  • Engage and collaborate effectively with various internal teams, including Support, Marketing, Product Development, Solutions Engineering, and others, to ensure seamless execution of OEM partnerships, address customer needs, and drive successful outcomes. This includes coordinating resources, sharing information, and working together to achieve common goals.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging OEM partners, understand industry trends, and stay ahead of the competition. Provide insights on market dynamics, competitive landscape, and technological advancements to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Contribute to the evolution of OEM product offerings by providing valuable market insights and feedback. Collaborate with product development teams to ensure alignment with OEM needs and market demands.
  • Work closely with sales teams and Geotab partners to ensure the successful market launch and adoption of OEM integrated solutions. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including delivering presentations, conducting training, and building strong relationships.
  • Contribute to the development of short and long-term strategic plans for the region. Provide regular updates on progress, key metrics, and market trends.
  • Travel within the EMEA region will be required to visit customers, resellers, and OEMs.

What you'll bring to the role

  • Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5-8 years of experience in sales, business development, or a similar role, with a demonstrable track record of success.
  • Strong experience working at or with an OEM is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with delivering presentations and training. Fluency in German and English is required.  
  • Experience with telematics solutions is a highly valuable asset.
  • Strong aptitude for understanding technical and business requirements.
  • Technical competence using tools such as Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and CRM tools.
