Position Summary: 
As an SAP Module Engineer specializing in MMI (Materials Management and Inventory), you will oversee the architecture, setup, configuration, testing, and support of SAP MMI modules to streamline procurement, inventory management, and material resource planning processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, translating business requirements into efficient SAP solutions that align with industry best practices and organizational goals. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of SAP MMI solutions tailored to Gotion manufacturing and supply chain operations. 
  • Collaborate with procurement, operations, and IT teams to identify gaps in materials management processes and propose SAP-driven enhancements. 
  • Configure and optimize SAP MMI modules, including purchasing, inventory management, material master data, and valuation. 
  • Develop functional specifications for custom reports, interfaces, and workflows related to materials management. 
  • Facilitate integration between MMI and other SAP modules like FI/CO (Finance and Controlling), PP (Production Planning), and SD (Sales and Distribution). 
  • Ensure efficient material requirements planning (MRP) and streamline processes for inventory tracking and optimization. 
  • Conduct workshops, gather detailed business requirements, and document technical and functional designs. 
  • Provide support for MMI module incidents, change requests, and system enhancements. 
  • Conduct system testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to validate solutions. 
  • Stay updated on SAP MMI advancements and industry trends, recommending innovative strategies to improve materials management workflows. 
  • Create user manuals, conduct training sessions, and provide ongoing support for end-users. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 2+ years of SAP Materials Management (MMI) experience, including hands-on configuration and support. 
  • Experience with procurement and inventory processes, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipts, and inventory valuation. 
  • Knowledge of integration points between MMI and modules like FI/CO, SD, and WM. 
  • Experience in SAP implementations, upgrades, or enhancement projects, preferably in manufacturing or supply chain industries. 
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting issues and optimizing system performance. 
  • Ability to create and maintain documentation on business processes, technical specifications, and configurations. 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. 
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools is a plus. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA implementations and MRP Live functionality. 
  • Knowledge of advanced integration technologies like EDI for procurement and supplier collaboration. 
  • Experience with SAP Fiori apps for MMI. 
  • Exposure to third-party tools for materials management, such as inventory optimization software or supplier management platforms. 
  • SAP certification in Materials Management is a plus. 
  • Experience working in high-volume production facilities.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $90k –$120k, plus eligibility for bonus and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by factors such as the role, level, and geographic location. Actual compensation within the range will be influenced by the specific work location, along with factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package at Gotion, and is determined within a range. This provides you with the opportunity to progress as you grow and advance your career at Gotion. The base pay range for this role is shown below, and will depend on your skills, qualifications, experiences, and location.
