
Investment Strategy Team, Editor - Associate / Assistant Vice President
About the Role
iCapital is seeking an Associate or Assistant Vice President to join the Investment Strategy team. This role will support the Chief Investment Strategist and broader investment strategy team by editing, refining, and shaping high impact thought leadership content. This includes investment commentaries, white papers, podcast scripts, and other multimedia materials. The ideal candidate will have editorial rigor comparable to seasoned journalists, with a strong foundation in finance and investment writing.
Responsibilities
- Edit and polish written deliverables including research reports, strategy notes, white papers, and articles to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with strategists, portfolio managers, and subject matter experts to help translate complex investment insights into compelling narratives.
- Participate in scripting and editorial production for podcasts, ensuring smooth narrative flow and high editorial standards.
- Manage the editorial calendar and publication workflow, coordinating with multiple teams to meet deadlines.
- Implement and enforce a consistent editorial style across all team communications and thought leadership pieces.
- Conduct fact-checking and rigorous proofreading to ensure compliance with brand guidelines and the Legal and Compliance teams.
- Support the development of a "newsroom-style" publishing approach to amplify timely, market-relevant content.
- Serve as the liaison between multiple internal departments, including Investment Strategy, Marketing, Compliance and Relationship Management teams.
- Engage in content strategy discussions such as brainstorming themes, audience targeting, and innovative formats aligned with our thought leadership objectives.
Qualifications
- 3-10 years of professional experience as a journalist or investment writer/editor preferably at an asset manager, boutique investment firm, or financial media organization
- Proven expertise in writing or editing on investment topics, particularly within alternative investments, private markets, or macro strategy
- Excellent editorial skills such as strong command of grammar, style, structure, and tone
- Familiar with investment concepts, market trends, and ability to engage with technical content and financial data
- Experience working cross-functionally with investment and content teams, ensuring editorial quality and project flow
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight timelines
- Podcast or multimedia experience is a plus
- Demonstrated skill in editing scripts and working with audio content is a plus
Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $140,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
