About the Role

iCapital is seeking an Associate to join the Onboarding Solutions team. This role sits at the center of iCapital's mission, focusing on enhancing operational scalability, driving innovation, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional experiences to iCapital clients and partners. This individual will become an expert and advisor on the iCapital platform while striving for operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will build out legal documents workflows and become a strategic problem solver together with Associates and Assistant Vice Presidents. This role is highly collaborative, with a strong focus on understanding legal documents and improving operational processes as a team.

Responsibilities

  • Structure legal documents into iCapital’s software using the company's proprietary tool.
  • Operate confidently within technical systems and tools that support the iCapital platform, including configuration management, workflow logic, and issue triage across multiple platform interfaces.
  • Identify which questions in legal documents are applicable to investor types and apply necessary logic.
  • Communicate with the team on advancements and areas for improvement within internal systems and processes.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of all interfaces on the Onboarding Solutions team, ensuring the seamless transition of clients from internal-facing to external-facing team members.
  • Execute end-to-end technical and operations deliverables, manage daily workflows to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on subscription document onboarding.
  • Work with internal teams to escalate and resolve high-priority issues, ensuring quick resolution.
  • Infer client needs from multiple external groups such as Fund Administrators, Legal, Tax, etc.
  • Ensure that final client product contains consumer-grade grammar, logic, syntax, and accuracy.
  • Peer review the team's work to guarantee operational standards are met.
  • Partner closely with the Product team to investigate platform behavior, troubleshoot complex issues, and support root-cause analysis across workflows, integrations, and data dependencies.
  • Enhance and maintain product documentation and internal resources.
  • Meet and exceed service level agreements and performance targets through effective task delegation.

Qualifications

  • 2-6 years of experience in a legal role drafting, researching, and comprehending complex legal documents
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to quickly adjust to new challenges and priorities
  • Self-starter and self-motivated to hit deadlines without micromanagement
  • Proactive team member who seeks ways to improve operational efficiency, contributing positively to team culture and client success
  • Experience with a large caseload, working alongside multiple attorneys and legal teams, or across multiple legal fields
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to clients and internal parties with limited knowledge of the topic
  • Able to convey complex concepts clearly and concisely to a diverse audience
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage complex workflows, identify discrepancies, and ensure accuracy across platform operations and client deliverables
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and able to work independently, prioritize effectively, and proactively drive issues through resolution
  • Strong technical aptitude, including comfort working “under the hood” of platforms to understand system behavior, workflows, and dependencies
  • Proven ability to analyze technical and operational issues using structured problem-solving, including reviewing data or system outputs to identify root causes
  • Comfort translating technical concepts and platform behavior into clear, actionable explanations for both clients and non-technical internal partners
  • Background in editing with a strong understanding of grammar mechanics and reviewing peer work to find errors, being comfortable receiving and giving constructive feedback
  • Prior legal experience in the alternative investment space (i.e. venture capital, private equity, hedge funds, etc.) is a plus

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $65,000 to $80,000.  iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus. We believe the best ideas and innovation happen when we are together. Employees in this role will work in the office Monday-Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday.
