Head of Business Excellence - Senior Vice President / Managing Director

The Head of Business Excellence serves as a strategic and operational partner to the President of iCapital Solutions, driving business performance, operational rigor, strategic development and cultural alignment across the business unit. This role functions as Chief of Staff and member of the iCapital Solutions leadership team. This individual plays a critical role in driving the key operating model of the US business and coordinates with international business counterparts with a strong focus on business strategy, business management, internal communications, program and project management, CRM strategy, reporting, governance, and cross-functional enablement. The ideal candidate will lead initiatives that enhance strong go-to-market excellence, strategy and alignment with the enterprise, CRM, reporting, M&A support and foster a high performing, engaged workforce.

 Responsibilities

  • Partner with the President of iCapital to oversee cross business line alignment working closely with BU heads (alternatives, structures products, and annuities and insurance), ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Support go-to-market strategy and initiatives that drive consistency, effectiveness, and outcomes.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to drive change, including acquisition integration to improve efficiency, and enhance transparency.
  • Oversee strategic program and project management for key initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and scorecards to track business performance and key control metrics.
  • Oversee the CRM and reporting needs in support of business and customer segmentation, marketing lead generation, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure strong coordination of key support functions across the Legal, Compliance, Human Resources and Risk teams.
  • Act as key liaison to corporate development on M&A efforts coordinating across iCapital Solutions for needed subject matter expertise.
  • Support the Management Committee agendas, presentations, and required CEO/CFO and Board of Directors support.
  • Oversee and standardize processes related to: 
    • Policy and procedure management
    • Regulatory inquiries and responses
    • Platform access and entitlements
    • Committee governance and documentation
    • Scorecard tracking
    • Organizational growth and headcount management
    • Key control monitoring and escalation.
  • Assess and enhance existing control procedures, identifying gaps and implementing improvements.
  • Ensure consistency in methodology and tracking across the iCapital Solutions and underlying business unit.
  • Drive change management efforts across the business unit, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to break down silos and improve execution.
  • Lead business reviews, planning cycles, and performance tracking.
  • Coordinate iCapital Solutions roadmap with the Product and Technology teams to drive client outcomes.
  • Design and execute employee engagement strategies in partnership with HR, including surveys, feedback loops, performance management calibrations and action plans.
  • Plan and facilitate town halls, offsites, and internal communications to foster transparency and alignment.
  • Act as a cultural ambassador, promoting values of excellence, accountability, and inclusion.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years in business management, business development, strategic planning risk or control functions, product development, business consulting, or Chief of Staff-type roles
  • Experience working business development, product, and business segments. Experience in the intermediary/institutional/financial advisory space and investment space (including alternatives or investment products) is preferred
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and driving organizational change, utilizing both technology and process reengineering
  • Strong understanding of operational risk, control frameworks, and regulatory environments
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficiency in project management, data visualization, and reporting tools

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $250,000 to $300,000.  iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
