The Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games will be hosted in Los Angeles, California in 2028, returning to the United States for the first time in over 30 years. 2028 will be the first time LA hosts the Paralympic Games, creating an opportunity to expand awareness, understanding and inclusion of people with disabilities.

The LA28 organizing committee is an independent, non-profit organization that is privately funded and governed by a board of directors.

Manager, Village Services:
The Village Services Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of resident-facing services and amenities within the Olympic and Paralympic Villages, including Satellite Villages where applicable. Reporting to the Senior Director of Village Management, this role oversees a diverse portfolio of services including guest pass operations, faith center services, retail and recreational services, the Fitness Center, and Village Plaza activations. The Village Services Manager will ensure these services are inclusive, accessible, and aligned with the overall resident experience strategy. This position requires strong operational leadership, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver a welcoming and world-class environment for all Village residents and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the operational planning and Games-time delivery of guest-facing services within the Village Plaza, including guest pass operations and coordination with the Accreditation team for resident guest access.
- Oversee the setup and operation of the Village Plaza (OVP/PVP), including retail services, convenience store, merchandise shop, and other resident amenities.
- Coordinate the planning and delivery of the Multi-Faith Center, ensuring inclusive and respectful multi-faith services in collaboration with local religious organizations.
- Collaborate with external partners for the delivery of key resident and guest services, such as mailing/post office and other commercial or support services, ensuring all operations meet Games standards for quality, accessibility, and sustainability.
- Manage recreational and entertainment services, including lounges, games rooms, cultural activations, and the Fitness Center to enhance the resident experience.
- Collaborate with Marketing Partner Services to ensure all retail and service activations comply with contractual rights and Games branding policies.
- Support the planning and readiness of training facilities and recreational sports areas within the Village.
- Ensure seamless guest services operations, with a focus on guest pass coordination and visitor experience within the Village Plaza.
- Contribute to the transition planning from Olympic to Paralympic Village operations, ensuring continuity and accessibility of all services.
- Develop and implement service-level standards and resident feedback mechanisms.
- Monitor operational performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure service excellence.
- Support the recruitment, training, and leadership of a high-performing team of service area staff and volunteers.
Background & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of operational management experience of hospitality and/or residential services for large campuses/communities like all-inclusive resorts, cruise ships, university housing, and/or theme parks.
- Within a residential community environment, must have operational management experience with some of the following: guest services/guest experience, retail spaces, coordinating 3rd party vendors/contractors, multi-use/event spaces, fitness centers, guest feedback processes and systems, staff onboarding and training, and safety/emergency response programs.
- Experience coordinating and managing operations for large-scale events within a residential community environment.
- Participation in the development of floorplans and/or space layout designs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with service tracking and guest management systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Olympic/Paralympic Villages or similar multi-sport events.
- Experience coordinating faith-based services or cultural programming.
- Experience with service-level agreements (SLAs) and feedback systems.
- Experience managing Village Plaza-style activations or public-facing amenities.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Event Management, Hospitality, guest services, or a related field.
Physical Conditions:
- This role is based in our Los Angeles office and work is primarily conducted in an office environment with frequent site visits to village locations.
- Must be able to navigate large residential and operational zones, including during Games-time conditions.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

The annual base salary range for this position is $88,000 - $105,000. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
