Intern, Powertrain Business Systems and Project Management, Summer 2025
Position Overview:
We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Intern to join the Powertrain – Agile Systems team. This role offers a unique chance to gain experience in both project management and business systems development. As an intern, you will assist in creating project management procedures, analyzing processes, and supporting business systems. You will collaborate closely with various engineering teams, including those focused on Drive Unit Testing, Motor Gearbox Prototyping, Battery Testing, Battery Build/Prototyping, and Power Electronics Prototype Build.
The Role:
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders across different engineering teams.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify best practices and areas for process improvement.
- Develop Jira dashboards, structures, and Kanban Boards to support engineering work.
- Maintain and update live business systems and dashboards.
- Assist in the implementation of new business systems.
- Use tools like Tableau to visualize project data.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Proof of enrollment in current or into next program (MS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of project management principles and tools (e.g., JIRA, Tableau).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred:
- Experience in the automotive industry or hardware R&D.
- Background in systems design or project management.
Program Information:
- Timing: May- August, or June-September pending class schedules.
- Duration of Internship: Our internship program is 12 weeks; the end date is flexible based on individual needs.
- Work Location & Environment: This position will be in Newark, CA, and is fully in-person. You must be prepared to start onsite for your first day of employment. The working environment will be a mix of lab & office work.
- Compensation: Student compensation is based on location and current degree level, non-negotiable ranging from $35 to $48 (subject to changes).
- Relocation: May be provided on a case to case basis.
- Housing/Transportation: You must provide your own living arrangements and transportation in the local area.
- Background Check: All offers of employment are contingent on clearing a background check.
- Drug Screening: All offers of employment are contingent on passing a drug screen.
- Medical benefits: Dental, vision, and medical on day 1 for all interns working full-time.
- Visa Sponsorship: Lucid may but is not obligated to sponsor foreign national employees requiring company sponsorship for U.S employment authorization.
Base Pay Range (hourly)
$35 - $48 USD
