We are seeking a Senior Tooling Industrialization Engineer to support the Global Supplier Industrialization and Quality function in tracking, validating, and optimization of tools and fixtures for automotive parts. Your experience will be critical in ensuring proper management and utilization of Lucid’s Capital Expenditure.
YOU WILL:
- Bring in depth technical knowledge and know-how of tooling manufacturing processes and cost.
- Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, including Senior Leadership, to provide updates on tooling-related matters.
- Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to address issues related to tooling performance, process efficiency, and product quality.
- Provide technical expertise and support to manufacturing personnel during the implementation of new tooling and processes.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Develop TSOWs (Tooling Statement of Work) to be used for future program development.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction through the implementation of advanced tooling technologies and techniques.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to evaluate the potential impact of proposed changes to manufacturing processes.
YOU BRING:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in tooling costing, development, and industrialization within a manufacturing environment for one or more of the following processes.
- EDS
- Castings
- Stamping
- Extrusions
- Plastic
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated project management abilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and allocate resources effectively.
- Ability to deep-dive data from both a top-down and bottom-up approach
- Ability to think strategically and communicate strategies effectively.
- Experience in the Automotive Industry (OEM or Tier 1 Suppliers).
- Experience working in a dynamic/start-up environment is a plus.
- Flexibility in work schedule is required (to include evenings and weekends, as needed)
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of Smartsheet, SAP, JIRA, Tableau, and any costing software is a plus.
