Motion Designer (6-month FTC with view to extend)

Location: Stockholm, Sweden (hybrid)

Are you passionate about motion design, and showcasing your creative and technical talents? We invite you to join our team as a skilled Motion Designer, where your expertise in creating animations, textures, high-quality 3D models, will bring innovative projects to life. Collaborating with a dynamic and diverse group of professionals, you will help redefine what's possible in motion design and 3D artistry while ensuring our projects meet the highest standards of quality and creativity. 

As a Motion Graphics Designer, you will support the team in executing high-quality design projects, motion graphics, and visual effects for various brands. This role combines hands-on design work with digital and visual design tasks, focusing on both 2D and occasionally 3D animation projects. Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment, coupled with your commitment to innovation and attention to detail, will drive the success of our projects. 

Reporting directly to the Creative Director the Motion Designer works alongside a multi-disciplinary dynamic team of creative professionals. 

What you will be doing: 

  • Motion Graphics & Visual Effects: 
    • Support the design and production of motion graphics, animations, and visual effects for advertisements, product videos, and promotional content 
    • Assist in editing and refining animations for fluidity and consistency across various media 
    • Create digital assets for social media platforms 
    • If/When needed, support with graphic design/final art to ensure project deliveries 
  • Digital & Visual Design: 
    • Contribute to concept development, visual design, and graphic design for various projects 
    • Assist in developing post imagery and copy, ensuring relevance for multiple markets 
    • Support the creation of layout and design for guidelines, toolkits, and strategic documents 
    • Participate in film editing, post-production, and creation of digital video assets 
  • 3D Design & Animation  
    • Assist in creating detailed 3D models, textures, lighting, and rendering for products, environments, and characters. 
    • Contribute to the development of high-quality, photorealistic renders and animations. 
    • Help optimize 3D assets for performance across different platforms and devices. 
  • Collaboration and Communication: 
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project goals, target audience, and creative direction. 
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to present ideas, progress updates, and final deliverables. 
    • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to enhance the overall design process. 
  • Technical Expertise: 
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in 3D/2D design and related technologies. 
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to 3D design & motion graphics software and workflows. 
    • Mentor and train junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices. 
  • Create detailed motion graphics, animations, and visual effects for various projects, including advertisements, product videos, and promotional content. 
  • Edit and refine animations to ensure flow. 
  • Develop high-quality, photorealistic renders and animations that meet project specifications and deadlines. 
  • Ensure all 3D assets are optimized for performance and compatibility across different platforms and devices. 
  • Create detailed 3D models, textures, lighting, and rendering for various projects, including products, environments, and characters. 

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Show an innate creative flair with exemplary art direction and concepting skills, bursting with ideas that span across multiple platforms. Exhibit a love for exceptional design, motion graphics, and storytelling. 
  • Possess outstanding modelling, lighting, compositing, and animation skills. Be proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, and utilize tools like Substance Designer to craft both organic and inorganic textures and materials. 
  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail, ensuring no typos or pixelation, and demonstrate a strong grasp of typography, layout, and technical skills that accentuate your craftsmanship. 
  • Be curious, creative, and ambitious, using your understanding of responsive design, UX, and current social and digital technology trends to push the boundaries in every project. 
  • Effectively present and communicate ideas with both clients and team members, confidently leading discussions and fostering a collaborative, low-ego environment that values feedback and iteration. 
  • Show a keen interest in emerging technologies like AI, and possess advanced motion and video skills using After Effects and Premiere to design innovative solutions. 
  • Execute projects from concept to completion, exhibiting stellar communication, organisational, and time management skills while enjoying a hands-on approach with team collaboration. 
  • Apply comprehensive branding knowledge, ensuring consistency and quality across all forms of media. 
  • Experience in consumer goods, luxury, or drinks & beverages sectors preferred. 
  • Fluency in Swedish and English.
