About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Business Director to lead and drive the growth of our business operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business development, strategic planning, and financial management, with a proven track record of enhancing business performance. As a Business Director at Bissell, you'll play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of our company, identifying new business opportunities, optimizing operational efficiency, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of our brand. As a Business Director, you will be responsible for crafting and executing strategies that ensure our c lient remains at the forefront of the industry. You'll work closely with the executive team to translate corporate goals into actionable and measurable objectives. This involves understanding market dynamics, consumer needs, and technological advancements to create a robust roadmap for growth. Your insight and leadership will guide the client's efforts in expanding market share and enhancing brand recognition globally. In this role, you'll need to proactively seek out and evaluate emerging opportunities, whether they involve entering new geographic regions, diversifying the product line, or leveraging new distribution channels. Your ability to identify and capitalize on these opportunities will be crucial in driving our growth agenda. By conducting thorough market research and competitive analysis, you'll provide strategic recommendations that lead to successful market entries and expansions.
You will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of collaboration across departments, ensuring that all facets of the business are aligned with strategic objectives. By working with product development, marketing, sales, and operations teams, you'll drive initiatives that improve product innovation, customer satisfaction, and operational processes. Your leadership will help ensure that customer insights translate into product development, ultimately strengthening the clien’s market position.
What you will be doing:
- Oversee financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, to ensure strong fiscal health and performance.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, suppliers, and clients, to facilitate business growth.
- Provide leadership and guidance to department leads, fostering a productive and innovative work environment.
- Drive organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance business processes and outcomes.
What you need to be great in this role:
- Proven experience as a Business Director or senior leadership role in a similar industry, with a track record of successful business development and strategic initiatives.
- Strong understanding of financial management, strategic planning, and operational efficiency.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyze complex business data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Experience in building and maintaining strategic partnerships.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding and genuine interest in artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, showcasing a curiosity for exploring its applications and potential impact.
- At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $170,000.00 to $190,000.00. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
