Role: Senior Finance Business Partner
Location: Montreal, QC
About the role:
OLIVER is seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Senior Finance Business Partner to support a high-profile account for a Fortune 500 financial services firm. This established global account has seen continued growth and has expanded into new global markets. Working remotely from South Africa, you will play a crucial role in owning and managing the global Profit & Loss (P&L) statement, handling interagency agreements, creating and overseeing billing reports, and supporting various ad hoc reporting requests. Your insights and recommendations will directly influence business decisions, ensuring financial health and alignment with OLIVER’s strategic goals.
What you will be doing:
- Global P&L Ownership: Manage the global P&L, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Provide strategic insights and analysis to support the financial health and objectives of the company.
- Interagency Agreements: Efficiently manage and negotiate interagency agreements, ensuring compliance and mutually beneficial terms.
- Billing Reports: Create, monitor, and manage detailed billing reports. Ensure accuracy and timeliness, and communicate findings effectively to relevant stakeholders.
- Ad Hoc Reporting: Support various ad hoc reporting requests, offering comprehensive analysis and business insights to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to foster collaboration and alignment between finance and other departments.
- Financial Analysis: Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
- Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within the finance function and drive implementation of best practices.
What you need to be great in this role:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; advanced degree or CPA/CA is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance or business partnering roles, preferably in a global organization.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, P&L management, and accounting practices.
- Proven experience working with interagency agreements and billing reports.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data to provide actionable insights.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a remote setting.
- At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from CAD $59,500.00 to CAD $66,500.00 . Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
