Who we are looking for

 
Re:Build Optimation is seeking a dynamic Director of Sales & Business Development to lead, grow, and improve the sales & business development organization. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue growth and sales pipeline quality & sustainability with both existing and new clients. This individual will direct a team of approximately five (5) sales & business development within Re:Build Optimation. This role reports directly to the General Manager. This individual will also act as the primary point of contact with the Re:Build Manufacturing commercial organization. This role will enable a high-performance, cohesive, and goal oriented sales & business development team aligned with the business unit’s strategic goals.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with Re:Build Optimation’s growth objectives.
  • Develop and lead the implementation of a successful system for acquiring new client accounts including but not limited to systematic, data-driven acquisition of new early-stage / startup and local / regional clients, harnessing the networks of all Re:Builders including the senior leadership team, and developing symbiotic relationships with EPC and A&E firms.
  • Design and implement a client account management methodology that reinforces building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to drive successful long-term relationships and drive higher customer lifetime value.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for sales and business development interactions with the Re:Build Manufacturing commercial organization and other Re:Build Manufacturing member companies’ commercial teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales & business development team. Set clear goals & objectives for direct reports and coach the team to successful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with marketing, engineering, and operations to ensure a cohesive go-to-market strategy. Represent Re:Build Optimation at industry events, tradeshows, and conferences with the mission to improve customer engagement and improve market position.
  • Develop and implement – in collaboration with key collaborators –project management framework(s), metrics, key performance indicator tools, and methodologies to standardize processes and improve project execution.
  • Evaluate and refine sales & business development processes applying tools & methodologies from the Re:Build Lean Operating System (RLOS) to drive engagement and improved quality, delivery and costs compared to current state.
  • Be an active member of the business leadership team providing strategic guidance on growing Re:Build Optimation.

What you bring to the Team!

Essential

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sales, business development, market intelligence, and/or marketing, preferably in engineering services, industrial/process automation, and/or system integration. Consistent track record of closing contracts exceeding $1M in consulting revenue (excluding reimbursable expenses).
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field from an accredited college or university, MBA a plus with equivalent work experience
  • Proven expertise of leading sales & business development teams, setting & achieving revenue targets, and implementing robust, repeatable, and successful processes.
  • Established competence in negotiation and contract leadership skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication & presentation skills, especially with external clients and business partners
  • Strong bias for data-based decision-making
  • Strong relationship management, leadership, and interpersonal skills, fostering teamwork and efficiency across teams.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating in a team environment, with strong critical thinking and cross-functional teamwork capabilities.
  • Ability to travel as needed (up to 50%) to meet with clients, attend events, and collaborate with the Re:Build Manufacturing commercial organization.

Preferred

  • Experience working with a corporate commercial organization or in a multi-business unit organization is a plus
  • Experience developing & implementing account management processes is a plus
  • Experience working with ISO9001 or similar quality system a plus

Additional Details:

Location: Working between the Rochester, NY and / or our Rush, NY offices
 
Compensation Range: Annual salary for this position is expected to be between $120,000 to $150,000, plus participation in our annual bonus plan and long term incentive plan. The actual pay may be higher depending on your qualifications and experience.
