The position will report to the Director, Global People Experience with a dotted line to the Regional President. This role is a hybrid role based in London that requires 3 days per week in the office.

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) for the UK region will play a critical role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives. This position will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, providing expert guidance on HR-related matters. The HRBP will drive initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and talent development across the region.

Overall Responsibilities: 

 The successful candidate must be available to start this role by no later than 12th May 2025.

Strategic Partnership: 

  • Collaborate with regional leadership to understand business goals and develop HR strategies that support organizational objectives.
  • Work as a true partner, developing processes that ensure your alignment to the overall business goals and direction.
  • Work closely with Internal and external stakeholders to unite all in the vision and lead conversations that unite, lead and ignite change where needed.
  • Utilize HR metrics and analytics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Leverage on organizational stakeholders to ensure a true and fruitful partnership between various key stakeholders and Sol de Janeiro. 

Employee Relations: 

  • Act as a point of contact for employees and managers, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Be the first line of defense for all ER cases and manage all cases with discretion and care.
  • A true ‘Champion’ of people, focusing on building relationships with stakeholders at all levels that ensures a strong bond of trust.
  • Support organizational change initiatives by providing guidance and communication strategies to ensure smooth transitions.

Talent Management: 

  • Lead talent acquisition efforts, including workforce planning, recruitment, and onboarding, to attract and retain top talent.
  • Deliver direction and advise Hiring Managers on Best Practice, ensuring regionally relevant laws and legislation in regard to Hiring.
  • Manage an SOP for all recruiting of roles at all levels, ensuring to advise Senior Leadership on market insights, skills gaps and development opportunities.

Performance Management: 

  • Implement performance management processes that foster a culture of continuous feedback and development.
  • Deliver suggestions and frameworks to encourage continuous development for employees at all levels, with a proven track record of Successful and thoughtful Succession Planning.
  • Own all mid probation/mid trial periods, end of probation/trial periods, 90 day reviews and 6 month check ins to seek areas of opportunities within the team and manage concerns on a case by case basis.

Learning and Development: 

  • Identify training needs and coordinate development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Monitor progress of various implemented initiatives, and utilize data insights to ensure continuous development that supports the overall aims of Sol de Janeiro.
  • Collaborate with the wider People Experience Team to align on L&D plans that support the wider organization in mid-year and end of year review periods.

  • Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives to create a welcoming and equitable workplace for all employees.
  • Ensure to include a wide range of recruitment techniques that allow a wide range of applicants from all walks of life.
  • Lead with Emotional Intelligence, ensuring to treat all with respect, honor and care within our Global organization.

Compliance: 

  • Ensure HR policies and practices comply with local labor laws and regulations across the UK region.

Qualifications:

  • A CIPD Level 5 minimum is an essential critera of this role.
  • 5+ year’s experience in a similar role within a Global organization.
  • Must have experience working and managing HR policies in UK.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated experience in talent management and organizational development while supporting a high growth environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
