Role Overview: 

The Commercial Finance team are part of a vibrant organisation that brings together staff from around the world, with a passion for engaging PlayStation gamers with relevant and entertaining content. This area of Sony Interactive Entertainment has seen significant growth in recent years to become a key revenue contributor and continues to evolve with the industry to create new business opportunities.

We will look to drive accountability for business results through empowering leadership with data & intelligence, implementing Key Performance Indicator frameworks linked to our goals and accurate forecasting & planning. We are looking for individuals who are motivated by being part of a truly distributed team, working together at the forefront of digital content distribution.

Working with the Store Business Planning, Senior Manager, the Senior Business Planning Analyst will be part of a small team responsible for planning & forecasting PlayStation’s Digital Store revenue. They will design and implement forecasting models that deliver business recommendations, identify risks/opportunities, and achieve forecast accuracy.

The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic and flexible teammate with a strong analytical mind; strong modelling skills, an excellent communicator who thrives in a fast-paced commercial environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Responsible for building, running and maintaining forecasting models for the digital store, analysing sales trends, identifying risks and opportunities and supporting decision making.
  • Continuously refine forecasting models/methodologies to enhance accuracy & effectiveness.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, collaborating with partners to drive insightful data-informed analysis/conversations.
  • Complete critical business analytics requests in partnership with key business leaders.
  • Responsible for communicating the Store revenue forecast clearly to Senior Stakeholders outlining assumptions and trends based of data analysis, articulating areas of risks and opportunities.
  • Support implementation of planning tool working collaboratively with other team members and driving the modelling process forward.
  • Effective stakeholder management, with the ability to engage, communicate and develop consensus with both internal and external partners.
  • Continuous improvement of processes/ways of working.
  • Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on best practices

What we are looking for:

  • CIMA/ACCA Qualified with several years relevant PQE in a Commercial Finance Role
  • Revenue Forecasting experience essential
  • Deep technical skills: SQL, Tableau, Domo, Financial Modelling, Tooling, PowerPoint, Excel (VBA, Macros) – Experience with planning tools desirable (e.g. Board, IBM, Oracle)
  • Organised self-starter, with the ability to deliver under pressure, and is capable of confidently working alongside the most senior stakeholders across the wider business.
  • Senior level business partner experience ideally at board or global level
