Apprenticeship Overview:

While working to gain an apprenticeship in Business Administration, you’ll be working as part of our Platform Certification & Operations team, which will give you the opportunity to learn and develop skills and knowledge from several different roles.

An apprenticeship within our Platform Certification & Operations team will let you develop your workplace behaviours, learning to work with others and build positive working relationships.  You’ll interact with and influence colleagues and gain working level contact with customers and partners.  You’ll develop strong oral and written communication skills, use your own initiative and take a structured approach to the prioritisation of tasks.

You’ll develop skills in IT, record and documentation production and project management, taking responsibility for initiating and completing tasks and managing & prioritising your time to successfully meet deadlines – skills which are transferrable to all sectors.

This is a full time opportunity which will include 4 days working at our site in the centre of Liverpool and 1 day attending The City of Liverpool College.

Role Overview:

This is a dynamic role that will include learning and developing skills and knowledge from several different roles.  This includes, but is not limited to; compliance testing, software testing and communications and business support.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Complete all required checks, as specified by regional project leader & report any/all problems found in firmware/game titles. 
  • Ensure all bugs are identified and thoroughly investigated.
  • Ensure all bug information, including classification, is accurately recorded and legibly written in preparation for the Team Leader to sign off and submit.
  • Follow and complete all test cases provided & ensure all relevant procedures are followed.
  • Thoroughly test all submissions to ensure compliance with the Technical Requirements Checklist across all supported platforms, including PSVR.
  • Quickly learn any updated CertOps procedures and/or TRC requirements and alter testing accordingly
  • Create all applications in readiness for compliance testing (labelling, mastering checks, encryption, etc.).
  • Help to prepare training materials
  • General administration functions
  • Facilitate business support
  • Ensure the correct people are assigned to any incoming support tickets
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that information provided is accurate and relevant
  • Identify, develop, produce and disseminate communications both internally and externally through various channels
  • Provide accurate progress updates to direct line manager, when requested
  • Identify process inefficiencies and suggest possible improvements
  • Be an advocate for change and continuous improvement

What we are looking for:

Technical Ability:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding gaming console(s) is an advantage, however not vital – as long as you feel you have a technical and curious attitude, we can offer training and development.
  • Understanding of PC/Laptop usage – MS Office (Outlook, Word, xls)

Communication/Collaboration:

  • Style and Impact - The ability to adapt behaviour appropriately to a range of personality and cultures.

  • Handling Change - Able to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
