Role Overview:

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE or PlayStation) Legal & Public Policy team has an excellent opportunity for a highly-motivated Senior Paralegal to be part of the Global Sales & Business Operations (GSBO) practice area. The GSBO practice area supports our channel sales, technical services, logistics, supply chain and merchandise teams across the EMEA and MEATICs regions as well as corporate functions such as Finance, Procurement, HR and Facilities. You will partner with and support attorneys by performing transactional, contractual and administrative work for the GSBO Legal team. What you’ll be doing: 

  • Manage and track a high volume of vendor and general commercial contracts
  • Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of agreements independently or under the supervision of attorneys, including distributor, retailer, warehousing, service agreements and Statements of Work (SOWs), NDAs, vendor agreements, and agreements required by corporate functions 
  • Conduct legal research across a diverse range of legal issues relevant to the sale of products including warranties, after-sale services and other consumer law obligations and collate findings in an easily digestible form
  • Drive process improvements across the team, including preparing and regularly updating template agreements, developing business guidance, coordinating training for the business
  • Collaborate and develop relationships with internal business teams and third parties to gather and synthesize information for agreements and collate legal advice
  • Manage or support special project work both globally and regionally, including coordination with external counsel and/or internal business and legal stakeholders
  • Prepare presentations and training materials, and deliver or support training
  • Provide general legal administrative support for the team, including tracking budget and invoice processing, document management, and processing signatures and notarisations

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 8 years (or equivalent) of relevant work experience as a paralegal, preferably with in-house experience supporting commercial contract reviews and negotiations
  • A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) within related Legal/Law field
  • Experience in handling high volumes of legal contract review and conducting legal research
  • Team player, with strong communication, organizational, and drafting skills
  • Detail-oriented, organised and able to prioritize workflow and accommodate deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and quickly master processes and procedures
  • Ability to analyse issues from both a business and legal point of view
  • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management and document management systems
