The Brand Strategist for The Ceremony of Roses (COR) is responsible for supporting blue-chip and artist “brand” clients in their strategic product development and go-to-market efforts. As a vital member of our brand and innovation-focused department, your role involves elevating our marketing creative and strategic campaign output to boost artist visibility and maximize campaign return on investment (ROI).

Your duties include launching our brand marketing operation and shaping the content creation processes for Tier 1 Artists and brand partners. The ideal candidate has a robust background in storytelling, content development, and social media strategies. You possess a deep influencer rolodex and can create and execute go-to-market campaign planning. You stay abreast of internet trends and understand content best practices across various platforms that lead to brand awareness and engagement.

You are a self-starter who appreciates the delicate interplay between exceptional creative work, campaign planning, and client management. Your ability to brief and oversee the creative process is crucial in producing content that drives merchandise conversion. Your competencies should span both creative and client services, allowing you to be ambidextrous in your daily output.

As a member of the Brand Innovation team, you also must adeptly manage brand clients and understand the dynamics of client relations.

The Brand Strategist will report directly to the Vice President of New Business and engage closely with cross-functional teams, including account management, e-commerce, operations, production, and design. You will also supervise and coordinate a select group of freelance talent and relevant influencers to ensure impactful results and exceptional service for our clients.

What you'll do:

  • Campaign Planning: Lead the cross-functional campaign planning and execution process for Tier 1 artists and brand partners. As a strategic leader, you will guide the organization in considering the optimal marketing mix for each campaign launch.
  • Client Management and Communication: Support the daily management of brand clients by proactively communicating about product development, campaign planning, asset creation, marketing, and billing. Lead internal cross-functional efforts to ensure products are produced on budget and on time. Oversea both internal and external campaign planning efforts, driving successful and revenue-generating collection launches.
  • Digital Content Strategy: Lead the development and execution of strategic content to build demand and awareness for our brand and product launches. This role encompasses the creation of ideas, formulation of creative strategies tailored to specific audiences and marketing channels most relevant to our tier 1 clients. You will establish and refine organizational best practices for effective content on key platforms, enhancing campaign performance from campaign to campaign.
  • Asset Creation: Collaborate with our internal design team and selected freelance creatives to produce 'digital-first' assets across key platforms. These assets are intended to seamlessly integrate into every step of a collections marketing campaign, including copy, email, SMS, organic and paid social media. Messaging and content effeteness should be measured from campaign to campaign and optimized to improve awareness and conversion. 
  • Creator Content and Promotion: Lead initiatives to connect creators and influencers with our artists and brand clients, inspiring and recruiting them to create and post content about select collections. You will maintain and manage an active list of relevant creators known for delivering authentic and effective content that resonates across various products and audiences, building product relevance and awareness. You are responsible for overseeing our content creator relationships, which includes negotiating contracts, monitoring content delivery and effectiveness, managing invoices and payments.
  • Consumer Voice: Serve as the consumer voice with insider access to everything trendy in brand and artist products. Proactively engage with content on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, Discord, and other relevant sites to provide insider knowledge and promote our artist and brand products. Develop a digitally active persona that garners the trust of fellow customers and becomes a go-to source for artist merch drops, product information, and "cool" trends.

  • Copywriting Skills: Proficient in crafting clear, engaging, and effective marketing copy.
  • Highly Organized: Capable of managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Outstanding in written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Art and Scientist: Analytical with a business understanding, creative, and capable of generating innovative ideas while maintaining a strategic view of results and revenue.

The anticipated annual base salary does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for.  The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
