The Global Finance Shared Service Center supports the core business with finance related matters, covering a wide scope of activities across the globe. We ensure suppliers and artists are paid on time for the amazing work they create. We work closely with the local finance teams around the world which means we have an excellent understanding of how the company operates and are kept up to date with key developments in this exciting and fast paced industry. Our teams play a key role in ensuring Sony Music achieve their annual goals each year.
In this role you’ll have the chance to assist in coordination of highly impactful corporate global/regional/local initiatives. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing various levels of involvement within projects assigned to you. Provides opportunities to establish efficiency and effectiveness across processes. Additional involvement in data analysis, projection, and presentation.
What you'll do:
- Coordinate strategic projects as lead and/or point of contact ensuring closure and progression within business deadlines
- Liaise between business, IT groups, and impacted departments to ensure progress within implementation and execution of solutions to strategic problems
- Highlight any risks, delays, or unresolvable disagreement between business partners to management in a timely and concise manner
- Review data as well as feedback from various business groups and vet for accuracy/predicted outcomes based on understanding of business practices
- Document and communicate initiatives with all potentially impacted groups as project progresses and at point of closure
- Assist with various conversations driving foundational data changes such as Distribution Channel, Configurations, etc. on as needed basis
- Other ad hoc support as deemed necessary by ever changing business needs
Who you are:
- Minimum of 3 years of business analyst, process improvement, project management or related experience
- Minimum of 4 years bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Ready to work in US shift (4.30 pm – 1.30 am)
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects while managing deadlines a must
- Ability to research and formulate questions in uncertain situations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; Fluent in English
- Detail oriented individual with strong organizational skills, ability to take detailed notes, and progress action items across various topics
- Ability to manage and work with a diverse group of people in multiple locations throughout the world
