
Director, Digital Partners and Accounts Development
Sony Music Entertainment Korea Inc. is looking for a Director, Digital Partners and Accounts Development to manage key business contracts with both global & local digital partners and pursue business expansion opportunities as per company’s business plans.
In this role, you will be the internal expert on the accounts management, and you will be responsible for developing and practically applying a cohesive digital strategy.
What you'll do:
- Manage local and global digital partner development
- Negotiate digital content license agreements with local digital partners ensuring alignment with local market dynamics
- Lead external business affairs with local music bodies, such as RIAK, KEPA, FKMP
- Support SME Global Digital Business Development as local market representative
- Develop and execute digital revenue strategies (both short- and long-term) in order to optimize revenue across the digital partner ecosystem.
- Build strong relationships and lines of communication with key contacts at partners and with internal stakeholders at all levels: including repertoire owners, global and regional offices, analytics, operations and finance teams and senior management.
- Project manage various activities related to the partner. This could include overseeing content strategies, reporting integration, ongoing analysis of partner performance, problem solving etc.
- Proactively uncover trends about Sony’s partners that will lead to actionable strategies.
- Regularly contribute knowledge and partner expertise to business planning and revenue forecasting models carried out by the finance team.
- Represent the interests of SME to the partner and seek to develop solutions to perceived problem.
- Monitor and analyse performance of potential partners/acquisitions across the country to support senior management decision making. This includes analysing actual results, plans and digital revenue forecasts.
- Identify and capitalize on business development and M&A opportunities.

• Global and local market expertise in music licensing and business development
• Proficiency in digital contracts, sales settlement, digital supply chain operations
• Proficiency in data and revenue analytics

Experience:
• Min. 15+ years of experience in digital partnership and business development in a creative/entertainment/music industry, including building and optimizing processes and systems. Know how on building relationship with key digital partners in Korea as well as business development and M&A experience is a plus.
• Min. 3+ years of experience in leading the team including performance management, coaching and career development etc
• Collaborate and working closely with A&R, Marketing, Distribution, Digital teams both internal and external customers
• Well-versed of Korea music culture and it’s customer behaviours
• Excellent spoken and written in Korean & English.
