What we’re looking for
SurveyMonkey's Market Research Solutions team operates at the cutting edge of an innovative industry, empowering millions worldwide to make crucial product and marketing decisions daily. We are a small, agile, and autonomous group of engineers, product managers, designers, and sales professionals dedicated to advancing our solutions swiftly and effectively. Our engineering teams are accountable for delivering robust services and tailored experiences across a spectrum of products, from self-serve to highly specialized market research use cases.
We are seeking an individual passionate about maintaining high quality across all stages of development, from gathering feature requirements to defining test plans, conducting cross-browser testing, managing bug filings, and overseeing web application releases to production. You understand that automated testing is paramount for maintaining quality, yet you also value manual testing as a crucial component of the QA process. You will collaborate closely with developers, fellow QA specialists, designers, and product managers within an agile team environment. Your goal is to foster a culture of excellence in testing across SurveyMonkey's engineering teams through peer review and continuous training initiatives.
What you’ll be working on
- Engaging in all phases of our agile software development process, from initial planning to final deployment.
- Collaborating closely with product and design stakeholders to deliver iterative value.
- Developing automation tests and frameworks to enhance our services and user experiences.
- Overseeing the seamless integration of automated and manual testing into our release processes.
- Monitoring and ensuring the observability of our features and functionality.
- Utilizing Jira to report issues and validate their resolutions through automated or manual testing.
We’d love to hear from people with
- 8+ years of experience in QA roles.
- Proficiency in maintaining automated tests using JavaScript-based frameworks such as WebdriverIO, TestCafe, Protractor, or similar.
- Experience verifying RESTful API services through code-based testing.
- Demonstrated ability in authoring and driving test and automation planning, and mentoring others.
- Familiarity with case management tools like TestRail and Jira, as well as monitoring tools like Splunk.
- A growth-oriented mindset with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
This opportunity is hybrid and requires you to work from the SurveyMonkey office in Bengaluru 3 days per week.
