ABOUT THE ROLE
Techno is expanding its transportation presence across New Jersey and the greater Philadelphia region and is seeking a Vice President to help lead that growth. This role is focused on building and converting a strong pipeline of public-sector work while strengthening long-term agency relationships.
The position is based in Princeton, NJ, with regular engagement in the Philadelphia market. You will operate at both a strategic and hands-on level—identifying opportunities, shaping pursuits, and positioning the firm for successful project delivery within highly competitive procurement environments.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships across agencies such as NJDOT, NJ Turnpike Authority, NJ Transit, and PennDOT
- Drive opportunity identification and go/no-go decisions across transportation and infrastructure pursuits
- Lead pursuit strategy, including teaming, positioning, and proposal development for complex RFPs
- Partner with technical leadership to align capabilities with market demand and client priorities
- Expand Techno’s presence in the Philadelphia region through targeted outreach and consistent client engagement
- Track upcoming procurements, funding programs, and policy shifts that impact the transportation market
- Represent the firm in client meetings, industry forums, and regional networking events
- Support long-term account management and client retention strategies
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Business, or related field (advanced degree is a plus)
- Experience in business development, client engagement, or pursuit leadership within transportation or civil infrastructure
- Established relationships or direct experience working with agencies such as NJDOT, NJTA, NJ Transit, or PennDOT
- Strong understanding of public procurement processes, including RFQs/RFPs and contract pursuit strategies
- Demonstrated ability to influence and close opportunities within a competitive consulting environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to travel within New Jersey and the Philadelphia region as needed

The expected salary range for this role in the New Jersey is $150,000 - $200,000 per year. The total compensation, including salary and bonuses, is determined by various factors such as experience, skill level, location, and qualifications, which are evaluated during the interview process
