True Crime Network and Quest are two thriving television networks that operate on broadcast televisions via over-the-air antenna nationwide, as well as across streaming platforms. We are seeking a Producer/Editor to help engage our audience with creative promos, social media content, and other highly-produced television elements.
The ideal candidate has experience editing promos for broadcast tv or cable, is quick and efficient user of Premiere editing tools, adept at creating captivating motion graphics, and is comfortable writing short scripts. Good media organizing skills are a must. Applicants must be able to utilize our programming schedule to set their own schedule for on-time delivery of promos.
We are seeking a team player who is happiest when collaborating and excited to share new ideas. An interest or experience in creating sizzle reels for new show concepts is also a bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Writes, produces, and edits on-air promos for both True Crime Network and Quest
- Works closely with Director of Production and programming team to ensure promotional schedule best executes our viewership goals
- Manages voice-over talent relationship for all promotional materials
- Collaborates with Director of Production to create development sizzle reels for the purpose of pitching original series and documentaries.
- Creates associated social media content to help propel audience engagement from social to on-air viewership
- Responds to social media and email feedback to make sure viewers know they are heard; communicates feedback to leadership
- Tackles responsibilities with enthusiasm, creativity, and a can-do spirit
Requirements:
- Minimum three years experience working as a producer/editor for a media property; preferred experience working in a marketing/promotional capacity
- Exceptional writing and organizational skills
- Experience managing voice over talent and working on deadlines
- Must be proficient using Facebook and Twitter, and responding to social media feedback in a professional voice that represents True Crime Network and Quest
- Proficient using Adobe Creative Suite, file transfer systems, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong demonstrated experience in motion graphics
- Preferred: Bachelors Degree in fields of Journalism, Media, Marketing, Communications or related field of study.
