Mechanical Engineer
As a Mechanical Engineer at OPS Consulting, you will be responsible for assisting in developing requirements and providing direction on design concepts. You will also be responsible for reviewing feasibility and realism of systems and providing assessments. You will provide technical coordination and communication between project teams and leadership. You will also work within a team to assist in evaluating conditions, proposing modifications, and developing design changes.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
- BS in mechanical, nuclear, chemical, process/controls, electrical, or computer Experience with evaluation, selection, and application of standard engineering methods, techniques,
- procedures, and criteria for mid to large scale components and equipment used by the chemical, power generation, wastewater treatment, packaging operations, or similar
- Experience working with or designing processing equipment, including pressurized vessels, pumps, heat exchangers, piping, turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, blowers, and
Required Skills:
- Experience with maintenance strategies to enhance equipment reliability, longevity, and up-time. Modeling of physical mechanical, electrical, fluid, or chemical systems.
- Conducting risk assessments and integrity evaluations to identify potential hazards and Proficient in communication, organizational skills, and technical writing.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in process or instrumentation engineering (programmable logic controllers, microprocessors).
- Experience with machinery diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair. Professional Engineering (PE) licensed.
Security Clearance:
- A current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are required.

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00
Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.
