OPS Consulting is seeking a Graphic Designer to work in Laurel, MD.

Job Description:

The Graphic Designer will design and prepare graphics to illustrate and communicate concepts, ideas, and innovations of a technical nature for presentations, papers, and publications. This role will work closely with researchers to translate ideas into graphical representations appropriate for audience levels of general to highly technical. The Graphic Designer will also modify and update existing graphics, maintain, and update a digital library of source material. Print and electronic media, computer- assisted design and printing, and MS Windows PowerPoint are just some of the methods used for presentations. The Graphic Designer will have both a technical and artistic skill, be comfortable working with different types of computers, and will be familiar with printers, scanners, cameras, and other tools used in graphic design.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development of presentations for internal and external overseers.
  • Provide graphical representation of technical information in a format that is consumable for the overseers, to include:
    • Two- dimensional static imagery
    • Three- dimensional renderings with appropriate lighting and textures
    • Animated video- clips
  • Develop and maintain content on internal and external facing websites which would include some fundamental programming requirements.

Required Skills:

Level 2: The minimum level of education for this position is a BS degree in graphic design or related field and three (3) years of experience, or an Associate degree and seven (7) years of experience, with duties and responsibilities list above. It is preferred that a candidate have experience in technical writing; or experience in an engineering discipline.  

Level 3: The minimum level of education for this position is a BS degree in graphic design or related field. Five (5) years of experience, or an associate degree and ten (10) years of experience, with duties and responsibilities list above. It is preferred that a candidate have experience in technical writing; or experience in an engineering discipline.

Security Clearance:

  • A current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are required.

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00

Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.
