Job Description
The Business Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the delivery of services related to LLM, GenAI, and AI projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership and operations skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project management, process improvement, client relations, and operational efficiency in new-age business.
Job Responsibilities
- Project Management:
- Oversee the delivery of LLM, GenAI, and AI services projects from initiation to completion.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Client Relations:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Conduct regular meetings with clients to provide project updates and address any concerns.
- Foster long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Implement and maintain best practices for project delivery and operations.
- Continuously improve delivery processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to project delivery and operational performance.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and nurture a team of project managers, developers and other technical staff.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure successful project delivery.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Technical Expertise
- Stay current with the latest advancements in LLM, GenAI, and AI technologies.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team and clients as needed.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to integrate new technologies and methodologies into service offerings.
Job Requirements -
- Relevant Experience
- 6-10 years of prior operations leadership experience.
- Should have hired and led a very effective operations team of 30+ people in the past.
- Prior experience in handling and driving high-growth OKRs
- Engineering/STEM degree from a top school like IIT
- High Aptitude and Problem Solver
- Should have the natural ability to work on any kind of problem. Should be comfortable dealing with uncertainty, hearing NO's, navigating with 80% correct answers, and pushing through the darkness.
- Be able to define the problem structure, able to break it down into manageable steps, and show progress swiftly.
- Strategic problem solver with a first principles approach and long-term vision & impact
- Data-driven
- Drive key metrics by ruthlessly focusing on high-ROI opportunities. The Business Operations Manager - Delivery Lead must have a proven record of creating sensible KPIs rather than just following industry best practices, many of which don't neatly apply when the lead is in an uncharted territory of innovation.
- This lead will be expected to dive deeply into data by working with data scientists and translating key insights into operations processes and product features.
- Good collaborator
- Be able to interface with Engineering, Design, Data Science, and Sales. Each team has a different personality. You will need to clearly communicate priorities with stakeholders and set the right expectations while being fun to work with.
- Move fast and be comfortable breaking things
- Turing moves fast. Teams routinely launch big experiments that may break the funnel and KPIs. We expect everyone to launch ambitious experiments optimizing for long-term growth and be comfortable with things breaking in the short term.
