We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a STEM (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) Contractor Acquisition Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and nurturing relationships with universities and other academic institutions to source high-quality PhD and MSc contractors specializing in STEM (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) disciplines. This role requires not only campus outreach but also the development of multiple channels, such as partnerships with science conferences and events, to bring the best talent onboard.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain relationships with key universities and campuses as a primary channel for sourcing STEM (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) contractors (PhDs, MSc students).
Develop and manage a comprehensive campus recruitment strategy targeting high-science professionals.
Build partnerships with relevant science conferences, events, and other avenues for talent acquisition.
Create a world-class experience for PhD and MSc students working with Turing on both full-time and part-time projects.
Collaborate with internal teams and hiring managers to understand technical contractor requirements and ensure a strong talent pipeline.
Oversee campus recruitment activities, including events, presentations, and workshops to attract top talent.
Track and report on recruitment metrics to measure success and drive continuous improvement.
 
High-Level Objectives:
Establish relationships with campuses for hiring STEM (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) contractors, focusing on PhDs and MSc students.
Source high-quality contractors through campus outreach programs.
Set up additional recruitment channels such as partnerships with science conferences and academic events.
 
90-Day Goals:
Establish relationships with 50 campuses specializing in STEM (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) disciplines.
Build a talent pipeline of 2,500 high-quality PhDs and MSc contractors.
Develop a best-in-class onboarding and work experience for PhD/MSc candidates collaborating with Turing.
 
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in campus recruiting, talent acquisition, or a related field.
Proven experience in university recruitment processes and campus event planning
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively build relationships with students, university staff, and internal stakeholders.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with STEM (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) disciplines and high-science academic environments is a plus
