Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and tech-savvy Delivery Manager to oversee the execution of LLM training projects, focusing on multimodality, mathematics, and AI-related content. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven experience in managing large-scale delivery projects, and the ability to interface effectively with both technical teams and clients. This role requires a dynamic leader who can seamlessly blend technical know-how with business operations, project management, and client relations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop a large team of annotators, ensuring they meet and exceed project goals.
- Conduct performance analyses, identify areas for improvement, and implement targeted training initiatives.
- Foster a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and employee engagement through development programs and performance reviews.
- Develop and implement strategies, including gamification, to motivate and recognize high-performing team members.
Project Management:
- Lead the delivery of LLM training projects in diverse areas like multimodality, mathematics, STEM etc, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, deliverables, and quality standards.
Client Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded.
- Conduct regular client meetings to provide project updates, address concerns, and strengthen client relationships.
- Foster long-term partnerships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Technical Collaboration:
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure that the latest advancements in AI, LLM, and multimodality are integrated into training projects.
- Provide technical guidance to the team and clients, leveraging your expertise in AI and machine learning concepts.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AI and machine learning.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to integrate new technologies and methodologies into service offerings.
Operational Efficiency:
- Implement and optimize best practices for project delivery and operations to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Continuously improve delivery processes, leveraging data-driven insights to refine operations and project outcomes.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on project delivery and operational performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in managing large-scale delivery projects, with a strong technical background.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, AI).
- Proven leadership experience, with a strong track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Extensive experience in data curation, annotation, and quality control processes.
- Ability to work on any kind of problem. Comfortable dealing with uncertainty, hearing NO's, navigating with 80% correct answers, and pushing through the darkness.
- Deep understanding of AI, machine learning, and multimodal data processing concepts.
- Strong mathematical skills, with the ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts to data analysis and problem-solving.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data sets, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively conveying technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams.
- Experience in data analysis, with proficiency in tools such as Python/Swift.
- Drive key metrics by ruthlessly focusing on high-ROI opportunities. Must have a proven record of creating sensible KPIs rather than just following industry best practices, many of which don't neatly apply when the lead is in an uncharted territory of innovation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a growth mindset and a focus on innovation.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience working with AI training projects and familiarity with LLM projects.
- Knowledge of gamification strategies to drive team motivation and performance.
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
- Prior experience in a tech consulting or product management role is a plus.
- SQL knowledge is advantageous.
