Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Product Analyst to support our product team by driving data-driven insights, building performance metrics, and enhancing product decision-making. The role is split into four key pillars:

  • Metrics (build, measure, track, management reviews)
  • Product Dashboards & Insights
  • Ad Hoc Analysis,
  • Data Infrastructure (BI tools, Amplitude, Adobe Customer Journey Analytics, Snowflake, etc.)

You will act as the domain expert for product analytics, helping Product Managers, Engineering, and Business Intelligence teams utilize data effectively throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and Support Performance Metrics: Develop and maintain performance metrics at the product level for both existing and new products, ensuring alignment with key business objectives.
  • Product Insights and Roadmap Support: Manipulate and transform data to generate actionable insights, advising on product roadmap development by identifying successes and flagging potential issues.
  • Product Dashboards: Build, maintain, and continuously improve product dashboards to visualize performance and opportunities. Engage with Product Managers to understand their needs and tailor dashboard functionality accordingly.
  • Self-Sufficiency in Analytics: Guide Product Managers on how to self-source analytics, helping them navigate tools and facilitating their data requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Engineering, and Business Intelligence teams to ensure data needs are considered during product development, guiding decisions related to data capture and usability.
  • Augmented Analysis: Leverage various data sources—customer research, competitor analysis, and market performance—to enhance the quality of recommendations and drive comprehensive insights.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Support urgent data inquiries and unique analysis requests to aid decision-making across the product team.
  • Data Infrastructure: Collaborate with BI teams and work with tools like Amplitude, Snowflake, and other platforms to ensure scalable data infrastructure that supports analytics and reporting needs.

Qualifications:

  • Experience & Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience as a Product Analyst, Business Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Proficiency in working with complex, high-volume, multi-dimensional products.
    • Experience working with large datasets from multiple services and sources.
    • Proficiency with SQL and advanced SQL techniques for data manipulation and analysis.
    • Experience creating dashboards for other users using tools like Tableau or similar (Qlik, PowerBI).
    • Experience working with BI teams and tools like Amplitude Adobe Customer Journey Analytics, Snowflake, and other platforms
    • Experience in building automated metric pipelines and enabling self-service analytics solutions that empower stakeholders to access and explore data independently (should we include and can this be worded better?) 
  • Collaboration & Communication Skills
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to link data insights to business outcomes clearly and effectively.
    • Strong collaboration skills, working cross-functionally with Product Managers, Engineering, Finance and BI teams.
  • Problem Solving and Analytical Skills
    • Ability to identify trends, opportunities, and issues to advise on product roadmap decisions.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
    • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of the CCaaS, UCaaS, and AI product landscape, including cloud technologies, APIs, integrations, and data flows.
