Senior .NET Developer (Initial 3-6 month day rate contract)

Why we're hiring:

This program of work is central to WPPs’ continued success, helping augment world class AI with a back-office workflow platform. The value add is to enable agencies to manage their work end to end within our innovate platform.  

This is a greenfield program of work to replace their existing workflow system with bespoke .Net development using a microservice architecture in Azure and Kubernetes. 

What you'll be doing:

 This role will report into the Team Engineering Lead.  

  • Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages  
  • Write unit tests and drive code from those tests 
  • Remain up to date with the terminology, concepts and best practices for coding 
  • Contribute to architecture and software design with other team members 
  • Contribute to cloud design in Azure 
  • Create proof of concepts to prove assumptions 
  • Develop client displays and user interfaces  
  • Assist software personnel in handling project related work and other requirements  
  • Coordinate with other software professionals and developers 

What you'll need:

  • Familiarity with design patterns and pattern of enterprise application architecture 
  • Expert knowledge of SOLID principles 
  • 5+ years of development experience using C#  
  • Proven track record of software design from Test Driven Development 
  • Knowledge of at least one other OO language (e.g. C++, Java) and HTML5/CSS3  
  • Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, gRPC) 
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies  
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills  
  • Able to work well in a team setting
